This is really beautiful. The contrast between the white red and black is breathtaking. It makes your design appear more simplistic than it actually is. The you look close drawn in by its utter amazing ness and see all of the different folds and details put into this. AMAZING!
George Lucas stated in an interview during the filming of Episode IV that he was influenced by traditional Japanese costume and the samurai life style. Case in point, the Jedi can be compared to the samurai of the Edo period. The similarities between the two of them are striking.
Oh, the art is exceptional. It's rare to find Mongolian imspired works that are as close to perfect as this.
The "Waring States" period of Japanese history is intresting to me in so many ways. This is the time where the samurai was at it's hight. Not only politically, but traditionally. Where Edo was the capital and the samurai reigned supreme.
